We are searching for a Control Systems Technician II – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you'll perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance, make revisions to the software and hardware operating systems, develop and run simulations of control loop performance, develop new control loops, install new controllers, and develop and install new graphical interfaces of the facility equipment. Equipment primarily includes Control Systems such as HVAC control systems, Building Automation Systems, Energy Management and monitoring systems, and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for control systems and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by management team
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem solving maintenance duties for control systems and associated systems and equipment according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge depth for control systems and associated systems according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrates work product meets the expected criteria
  • Demonstrate accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic and teamwork

Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a DDC controls systems service-related technician
  • Factory trained in a DDC system's programming language
  • Building Automation System experience
  • Knowledge of usage of maintenance equipment and diagnostics to facilitate trouble-shooting and repair processes
  • Ability to use maintenance equipment including hand-held power tools
  • Ability to use computers for building automation and computerized maintenance management systems
  • Ability to resource with others effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate management skills such as planning, coordination, estimating, and scheduling skills
  • Responsibilities will include assignments in spaces requiring safe work practices, compliance with OSHA requirements, effective communication, and customer service skills
  • Hospital experience preferred
  • Honeywell building automation system experience preferred
  • Commercial high-rise controls systems experience preferred
