We are searching for a Director of Nursing - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, youâ ll provide 24-hour accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resources activities within designated clinical services. You will be responsible on ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective, developmentally appropriate patient care in a family centered care environment.Think youâ ve got what it takes'Job Duties & Responsibilities Ensures the delivery of safe, high quality, age appropriate, cost-effective care and/or service within a family-centered care environment, as measured by variance analysis reports, revenue enhancement/expense reduction, patient satisfaction scores, patient complaints, regulatory compliance, and new programs/initiatives Leads/participates in Quality Improvement projects to enhance patient care delivery and/or patient satisfaction Mentors other leaders in order to enhance their performance and promotes the ongoing development of staff as measured by observation, records of development sessions, and feedback from leaders and staff Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with medical leadership, direct reports and appropriate interdepartmental liaisons to ensure the achievement of identified goals Ensures creation of a work climate that fosters employee participation, satisfaction and organizational commitment as measured by annual employee survey results, turnover rates, and employee initiatives Identifies, provides and creates opportunities for all staff's ongoing professional development to provide a consistent level of service Develops and prioritizes service based goals that support the IDS Strategic Plan as measured by direct observation Completes timely performance appraisals for direct reports Assures that new staff attends hospital orientation within 30 days of employment Assures that new staff attends departmental orientation within 30 days of employment Reports financial performance on a monthly basisRequirements Current RN Licensure by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners Bachelorâ?'s degree in Nursing Masterâ?'s degree in Nursing, Business, or healthcare related field Five years of nursing experience, including three years of management/leadership experience Knowledge of Patient Care Delivery Models, Budgeting and Variance Analysis, Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software and Quality Improvement Concepts Certification in specialty-specific area or nursing leadership, with completion of certification within 1 year of assuming the role is preferredEOE - M/F/V/D
