We are searching for an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology Specialist (EMU/Neurophysiology) - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you'll provide findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. We need someone that has a minimum of three years experience in performing neurodiagnostic studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides quality patient-centered neurodiagnostic testing
  • Demonstrates a mastery of technical and procedural requirements to consistently produce high quality neurologic testing records; is able to adapt all procedures to clinical circumstances
  • Ensures electrode application in adherence with the International 10–20 System
  • Functions independently and is able to apply basic ,intermediate and advanced waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices
  • Assists in training and assessment of END technologists in neurodiagnostic procedures and techniques
  • Provides training, coaching, and mentoring to other technology personnel in proper neurodiagnostic procedures
  • Documents information in patient medical record and assists with patient billing process
  • Works with departmental staff and other health care professionals by volunteering regularly to help others when time allows
  • Communicates effectively with patient/family, department staff, physicians and other health care professionals to promote quality patient care

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) year of experience in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology
  • Two or more current registries in any of the following: R.EEG T – Electroencephalography, R. EP T. – Evoked Potentials, RPSGT – Polysomnography, CLTM – Certified Long Term Monitoring, CNIM – Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring
  • Graduate of a Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent formal training is preferred
  • Ensures electrode application in adherence with the International 10–20 System
  • Knowledgeable in the correct performance of neurodiagnoistic studies, recognition of clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures
  • The ability to independently demonstrate skill in one of the following areas: EEG, EEG Video Monitoring, EP, IONM or PSG
  • Demonstrated ability to operate neurodiagnostic equipment, video monitoring equipment
  • Ability to be articulate, courteous and supportive in dealing with hospital, administrative and departmental personnel, patients and parents with ability to honor confidentiality; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate good customer service; utilize basic office equipment and a personal computer
