We are searching for a General Manager to work for a leading provider of a broad range of communication, electronic, and sensor systems used by the military, homeland security, and commercial platforms. This position will be directly responsible for the successful execution of all programs within the business unit and ensure they meet and exceed all defined objectives. In this role, you will report directly to the President of the company and will provide both tactical and strategic leadership and oversight for all the activities within the business segment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and management of engineers, sales managers, and indirect management for all functions assigned to the segment
  • Formulate and execute strategy in alignment with customer and company priorities
  • Manage existing customer relationships and development of new ones, while engaging with customers and partner stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance and support growth opportunities
  • Interact with senior leadership to execute decisions, manage risk, and influence activities that affect the long-term viability of the division
  • Oversee ongoing reviews of active programs to track performance against specified performance metrics

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, or Product Management required
  • 10+ years of experience in Product and Program Management required
  • Technical sales experience in relation to aviation products
  • Experience growing a specified portfolio and meeting assigned growth metrics
  • Experience working in a Lean/Six Sigma Continuous Improvement environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Strong sense of risk management and proactive attitude toward risk mitigation
