We are searching for an Imaging Informatics Analyst – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll provide for continuity of clinical operations for all computerized information and imaging systems in the Department of Pediatric Radiology, including, but not limited to, Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), Voice Recognition System (VR), and other PACS integrated systems. You will conduct the day-to-day operations of the systems, including performing daily maintenance, reporting, and utilities. Additionally, you will provide technical support, documentation, and training to all staff using these systems and train DI staff, Radiologists, Hospital physicians and other Hospital staff. Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensures department workflow from examination scheduling, acquisition, and reporting through enterprise image access and viewing
  • Directly assists users to resolve problems with application use
  • Provides technical support for hardware and software problems, interacting in person and via telephone
  • Analyzes, conducts, implements, and controls system design, configuration, and modification of Pediatric Radiology information systems
  • Oversees database integrity and system security
  • Performs application maintenance activities
  • Responds to crisis situations
  • Coordinates activities and information dissemination
  • Assists with informatics service vendors and other support areas
  • Assists other informatics team members and participates in special projects
  • Participates in the professional development of oneself and others

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, system management, or other related field
  • A combination of four years of related experience and/or education may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree
  • One year information systems experience in a radiology department or medical setting
  • Certificate in Reg. Health Information in Technology (RHIT) is preferred
  • Project Management Professional license in project management, computer systems administration, and/or imaging informatics would be a plus
  • Functional knowledge and basic understanding of computer systems, software applications, hardware, database, and computer networking concepts
  • Familiarity with a variety of hardware and software environments
  • Custom database report generation experience (Oracle, SQL, or Crystal Reporting) is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Experience with help desk processes, application user training, DICOM software viewing applications, and medical imaging interfaces are preferred
  • Radiology workflow and operational knowledge of PACS, RIS and Voice Recognition system, and working knowledge of the healthcare industry are preferred
  • Knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), Voice Recognition systems, and understanding of the Health Level 7 (HL7) and Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) standards are a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; problem-solving skills; analytical skills
  • Ability to assemble computer-related equipment (monitors, printers, CPUs, and computer furniture)
  • Must possess organizational and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different levels of technical experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and function calmly while dealing with multiple tasks is required
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with exceptional attention to detail
  • Must be able to participate in Performance Improvement teams
  • Must have the ability to support different levels of end-user skills
  • Must possess and display analytical skills pertaining to a variety of hardware and software applications
