We are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to be part of the IoT Business Development team. In this position, you will work collaboratively to sell and promote the adoption of the IoT product platform within the retail market. As part of the account team, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and execution of a set of strategies for a defined portfolio of customers in the retail vertical. When executing these strategies, you will utilize your experience in enterprise solution sales to help retail establishments leverage the product's IoT framework of information and technology to achieve their business goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop retail opportunities with key stakeholders to envision, develop, and implement a strategy for their organization and customers
  • Demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of insightful industry knowledge and how IoT applies to initiatives, trends, and triggers; Clearly articulate the strength and value proposition of the product's IoT solutions
  • Understand the key business drivers within an organization and identify key business stakeholders; Successfully execute the account management process including account prioritization, account resourcing, and account planning
  • Effectively utilize and leverage the CRM to manage opportunities and drive the buying process; Understand your customers' budgeting and acquisition process
  • Leverage social media to successfully prospect and build a professional network
  • Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars, and support visual story telling through effective whiteboard sessions

Skills & Requirements
  • Five or more years of enterprise solution sales experience providing platform solutions to businesses
  • Bachelor's or Master's in marketing, IT, IoT, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, depending on position level
  • Understanding of and experience with the IoT and how it relates to the retail industry
  • General knowledge of spatial analysis and how it is used in problem solving
  • Ability to adapt to new technology trends and translate them into solutions that address customer and partner needs
  • Excellent presentation, white boarding, and negotiation skills including good listening, probing, and qualification abilities
  • Demonstrated experience to lead executive engagements to provide services and sell to the IoT industry
  • Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally at least 50% of the time-this is a remote role
