We are searching for a Medical Technologist. In this position, you'll provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests,
procedures, and analyses with little or no supervision. You will also prepare the samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performing numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpreting the results in a timely manner in order to enable the clinician to utilize the data when making treatment decisions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accurately performs and reports all lab tests per laboratory policies and procedures
  • Performs, records and evaluates QC
  • Implements corrective actions as needed to ensure accuracy of results
  • Performs required instrument maintenance
  • Communicates any testing discrepancies, trends, and/or shifts to appropriate supervisor
  • Maintains professional knowledge and skills to be utilized in training new employees
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked work area
  • Follows departmental and hospital safety and infection control guidelines
  • Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation

Skills & Requirements
  • BS in Medical Technology or Bachelor's degree with a Certificate in Medical Technology from a nationally accredited program
  • National Registry for Medical Technology (ASC P or equivalent) or registry eligible
  • Must successfully complete or be actively pursuing registration by end of first year of employment as evidenced by notification of scheduled test date
  • Must possess language, math, and reasoning skills which allow for the analysis, interpretation, and valid conclusion to be made during data collection and during mechanical or scientific procedures
  • Must be able to effectively present gathered data orally or in writing to management or regulatory agencies
