We are searching for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll provide health maintenance for good newborns and infants, episodic care for ill infants, and comprehensive care for newborns and infants with chronic conditions. You will also deliver medical aspects of care and assumes independent and interdependent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of treatment and procedures. As an advanced practice nurse the NNP is involved in transport, education, consultation, research and evaluation of clinical practice at various levels.

  • Utilize advanced practice knowledge and skill to systematically collect and evaluate health assessment data and to manage a caseload of patients
  • Consistently demonstrate effective communication skills and work to eliminate communication barriers
  • Consistently serves as an educational resource for the patient and family, community, and other health care professionals
  • Consistently applies new knowledge relevant to pediatric nursing to clinical practice
  • Demonstrates current professional, managerial, and/or technical knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrates nurse practitioner's role behaviors consistent with the development of advanced nursing practice
  • Participates in departmental quality improvement program annually

Skills & Requirements
  • Master's Degree of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing
  • NNP - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Texas Board of Nursing
  • NRP - Cert-Neonatal Resusci Prog AHA/AAP
  • 2 years of experience in the applied specialty
