We are seeking Epidemiologist. In this position, you'll be responsible for the management of the infection control staff and the infection control programs at all hospitals and related services. The epidemiologist will guide the team in performing surveillance for infection risks to patients and staff, and developing improvement plans to reduce related infection risks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintains quality of microbiology services at all facilities through monitoring of quality and validation data
  • Oversees the adoption and implementation of system solutions for microbiology testing
  • Assures that facility infection control programs are based on valid risk assessments and annual plans
  • Assures compliance of facilities with TJC, ADH, OSHA, and C AP relevant regs and standards
  • Mentors infection control practitioners to develop their practice and achieve infection control certification
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement, recommend and implement changes aligned with our mission
  • Completes all required documentation within the allotted time frame
  • Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation

Skills & Requirements
  • MS in microbiology or epidemiology, or another public health related field, MPH. PhD is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infection prevention, with 2 years' infection control program management experience
  • Certification in infection control (CIC )
  • Must possess language, math, and reasoning skills which allow for the analysis, interpretation, and valid conclusion to be made during data collection and during mechanical or scientific procedures
  • Must be able to effectively present gathered data, orally or in writing to management or regulatory agencies
