Got sales skills and a taste for craft brews? We are searching for a Retail Account Specialist to work for one of the top 10 breweries in the United States. In this position you'll be responsible for increasing the availability and visibility of our client's brands through obtaining specific objectives within each account. This role will primarily be responsible for being the authority on product knowledge, brand positioning and programming in the marketplace, and bringing the brand strategy to life at the point of connection with the consumer.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Makes monthly account development calls on assigned off and on-premise accounts
  • Secures specific tactical objectives to move account base from non-buying to winning as measured by Merchandising Standards
  • Merchandises account base by securing point of sale placement to maximize brand awareness and product sales
  • Gains new points of product distribution for the company's portfolio in both package and draft
  • Maintains and develops relationships with key staff, management, and owners at key on-premise accounts
  • Works within the assigned promotion budget maximizing promotional activity
  • Develops and maintains strong, positive relationships with distributor sales personnel
  • Works with wholesaler personnel to drive business targets while enlisting them to work on the client's behalf when on their own accounts
  • Establishes self as the role model and mentor to the wholesaler for off and on-premise standards
  • Executes weekly off and on-premise retail calls and periodic special events that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling, as well as new distribution at target accounts
  • Executes promotional display activity weekly
  • Executes periodic special events, festivals, and marketing programs to enhance the image and reputation of the brand in the market place
  • Develops the optimal approach for the assigned area of responsibility

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required
  • Ability to give presentations and creative informative presentations for both on-premise activities as well as wholesalers and retailers
  • Excellent business analytical skills

  • Knowledge of company, state, and federal regulations and franchise laws
  • Keen knowledge of US beer business and its practices

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must hold a valid driver's license without any alcohol related offenses
  • Must be able to successfully pass a hair drug screen as well as a background check
  • Must be able to drive long distances regularly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Lifts 35 lb. cases, 165 lb. kegs and various point-of-sale boxes on a regular basis
  • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours which will include nights and weekends
