We are looking for a Tooling Supervisor to join our team- someone who can outsmart any fixer upper. You will drive tooling improvements for all related manufacturing processes, specifically in heading and hot press. In this role as, Tooling Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining World Class Lean, quality processes, and other advanced manufacturing methodologies and systems specifically for tooling
  • Work directly with manufacturing engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images
  • Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
  • Identify potential environmental aspects and design processes to minimize their impacts
  • Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for Manage/Set-Up Tool and Die Room and the Tooling Assembly Department
  • Responsible for Tooling Design and Maintenance
  • Manages a team of tooling and die coordinators and operators
  • Coaches, Trains, and develops team to perform at a high level

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably Engineering, Business or Industrial Technology) with 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment
  • Proven work history as a supervisor or manager is desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementation of lean principles and improvements
  • Experience in demand flow principles
  • Experience with Six Sigma Methodology
